The village lies at 1000 meter altitude on the north site of the Fiz Mountains. It is very sunny (only 5% less sun as at the Cote d'Azur) with magnificent views over the valley of the river Arve and at the Mont Blanc and its glaciers. The village lies very well, near to Switzerland and Italy: 60 kilometres from Geneva with its airport, 20 kilometres from Chamonix and the Mont Blanc tunnel (direction Italy) and also only 70 kilometres from Martigny in Switzerland and 200 kilometres from Turin (Italy). In the village you will find a bakery, a butcher, a small supermarket, a pharmacy, a post office (with an ATM), kindergarten and a primary school. In the valley is the A40 motorway from Geneva to the Mont Blanc tunnel near Chamonix. The distance from the highway to the house is about 10 kilometres uphill. The nearest by airport is Geneva at about 80 kilometres. The nearest by railway station is about 12 kilometres. Other places nearby are Chamonix, Les Houches, Megève, Sallanches, St-Gervais-les-Bains, Les Contamines-Montjoie, all with ski-area's with a total of about 700 km of slopes. Details: The house was build as a hotel in about 1933. In 2002 it was totally renovated. From the six rooms per floor with only one toilet and one bathroom it is changed into three rooms per floor with there own bathroom/toilet. The house is well isolated and all the electricity and plumbing are renewed. A new roof at the dinning and living room was build. All the heating in the building is electric. The kitchen, the living and dining room on the ground floor have floor heating. Also the hot water installation as well as the kitchen equipment work on electricity. Possibilities: At this moment the house is used as a Bed and Breakfast or self-catered Chalet with every year many guests. The Bed and Breakfast is open for 9 month's of the year. You can also use it as a (small) hotel/restaurant.
